In a significant homecoming, Fitigues, the beloved '90s casualwear brand, has reopened its doors in Scottsdale, Arizona, under the stewardship of original founders Steve and Andi Rosenstein.
After reacquiring the brand's intellectual property, the Rosensteins inaugurated a new flagship store at 20875 N Pima Rd in December 2025, marking a fresh chapter for the iconic label.
Fitigues, renowned for its elevated sweats and presence in emerging neighborhoods, had faded from the retail landscape after the Rosensteins sold it to Chico's in 2006.
However, the couple's recent reacquisition has reignited the brand's original spirit.
"It's our baby again," Steve Rosenstein remarked, reflecting on the brand's revival.
The Scottsdale flagship offers a curated selection that blends timeless designs with contemporary touches, appealing to both nostalgic fans and new customers.
"We have so many people coming in, whether it's in the stores or just people that we're reconnecting with online because they know we have Fitigues back," Andi Rosenstein shared.
"And so many of them say the same exact thing: 'It feels like it is so your time right now.'"
The store's opening coincides with a period of dynamic growth in Scottsdale's retail scene.
Notably, the Caesars Republic Scottsdale, an 11-story luxury hotel adjacent to Scottsdale Fashion Square, opened its doors in March 2024, enhancing the area's appeal to both residents and visitors.
Additionally, the upscale Italian restaurant Élephante debuted at Scottsdale Fashion Square in October 2024, offering a coastal Italian dining experience that complements the city's vibrant culinary landscape.
These developments underscore Scottsdale's evolution into a hub of luxury and culture, providing an ideal backdrop for Fitigues' resurgence.
As the brand reestablishes its presence, the Rosensteins are committed to maintaining the quality and authenticity that originally set Fitigues apart.
"Obviously, dressing casual and comfortable is something that's here to stay; it's not going anywhere. But I think people are ready to take it up a notch," Andi Rosenstein noted.
With a focus on elevated casual wear, Fitigues aims to cater to a market seeking both comfort and style.
The Scottsdale community has warmly welcomed the brand's return, with the grand opening event drawing significant attention and enthusiasm.
As Fitigues embarks on this new journey, it stands as a testament to the enduring appeal of quality craftsmanship and the timeless allure of casual elegance. |
