The Mission, a renowned Scottsdale Latin restaurant, has expanded its culinary footprint with the opening of its third Valley location in Gilbert's Epicenter at Agritopia.
Chef Matt Carter expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We’re beyond thrilled to finally open our doors in the East Valley with our very first Gilbert location. This has been a long time coming, and we’ve already felt an incredible amount of excitement and support from the community."
The new establishment showcases The Mission's signature candle-lit ambiance, featuring a dramatic Himalayan salt brick wall and warm wood accents, creating an immersive dining experience.
Guests can indulge in the restaurant's acclaimed menu, including daily house-made tortillas, the iconic Tableside Guacamole, and standout dishes such as Pozole and Roasted Pork Shoulder tacos for two.
The agave-centric bar program offers a variety of tequila and mezcal-based cocktails, complementing the bold flavors of the cuisine.
Designed by architectural duo Mendil + Meyer, the space features a lighter, enclosed front dining area that evokes an outdoor patio feel, while the main dining room and bar lean darker and more dramatic, reminiscent of The Mission's Old Town location.
Highlights include a striking bar with seating for 20, two high-top community tables ideal for group dining, and a private dining room accommodating 35–40 guests with full audiovisual capabilities for celebrations and business events.
The Mission Gilbert is open daily for lunch and dinner, with weekend brunch service to follow.
Operating hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Reservations can be made through the restaurant's website.
With this expansion, Chef Carter and his business partner, Brian Raab, continue to grow their portfolio, which also includes Zinc Bistro and Fat Ox.
The addition of The Mission to Gilbert's dining scene offers residents and visitors an opportunity to experience elevated Latin cuisine in a vibrant and inviting setting at Scottsdale. |
