Handcrafted Bowls and Culinary Delights Unite to Combat Food Insecurity |
Waste Not, a dedicated nonprofit near Scottsdale, is set to host its 35th annual Empty Bowls fundraising event on October 18 and 19 at the Arizona Taco Fest, located at Salt River Fields, 7555 N. Pima Road in Scottsdale.
In collaboration with the Arizona Clay Association, this event aims to support Waste Not's extensive network of over 85 nonprofit agencies that distribute surplus food to Arizonans facing hunger.
Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase unique, handcrafted bowls generously donated by local artists from the Arizona Clay Association.
Each bowl serves as a poignant reminder of the ongoing struggle against food insecurity in our community.
The Arizona Taco Fest is renowned for bringing together over 40 of the Valley's top taco makers, offering a diverse array of culinary experiences.
Festival-goers can indulge in $4 tacos, savor $10 Tequila Corrido margaritas, and explore a variety of tequila and mezcal brands.
The event also features multiple music stages, live art installations, a bustling mercado for shopping, and a dedicated kids' zone with rides and games.
By participating in the Empty Bowls event during the Arizona Taco Fest, attendees not only enjoy a vibrant cultural and culinary experience but also contribute to Waste Not's mission of eliminating food waste and hunger in Arizona.
