Baseball enthusiasts have a new destination in Old Town Scottsdale with the unveiling of a unique baseball memorabilia museum inside Frasher's Tavern.

Located at 4180 N Drinkwater Blvd, this establishment has been a local favorite since 1999, renowned for its prime steaks and inviting atmosphere.

The newly introduced museum, known as the Old Town Baseball Experience, offers visitors an immersive journey through baseball's rich history, with a particular emphasis on Scottsdale's contributions to the sport.

The collection boasts over 1,000 artifacts, including items from Scottsdale High School alumni like Paul Konerko and rising star Cam Caminiti.

This initiative is a collaboration between Frasher's Tavern and the nonprofit organization Arizona Baseball Legacy and Experience (ABLE).

ABLE's board president, Mike Phillips, highlighted the significance of the location, noting that the tavern sits on the former grounds of Scottsdale High School, where Hall of Famer Jim Palmer once pitched.

Phillips emphasized that the museum aims to be a dynamic space, hosting events such as author signings and presentations, making it a vibrant hub for baseball aficionados.

Owner George Frasher expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that integrating the museum was a natural extension of the tavern's identity, given his passion for baseball and the existing memorabilia collection.

The museum is situated in the front dining area of the tavern, encompassing approximately 2,000 square feet.

Visitors can explore the exhibits daily from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., aligning with the restaurant's operating hours.

This addition not only enriches the dining experience at Frasher's Tavern but also serves as a tribute to Scottsdale's storied baseball heritage.
