The S'edav Va'aki Museum Foundation is hosting an immersive Indigenous Sonoran Desert dining experience, Harmony: Balancing Past and Present, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Set beneath the desert sky at the museum's ancestral village site, Harmony invites guests to taste, learn, and connect with the rich heritage of the Ancestral Sonoran Desert People.
Attendees will enjoy curated tastings featuring Indigenous ingredients like mesquite, tepary beans, prickly pear, and chiltepin, presented in contemporary culinary creations that honor traditional foodways.
Through food, art, and conversation, the event highlights the enduring presence of the Akimel O’Odham and Piipaash communities, whose ancestral irrigation canals and fields continue to shape the land behind the museum.
General admission tickets are priced at $100 per adult, including food and two drink tickets.
A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $175 per adult, offering early access at 5:30 pm, a private space, a swag bag, and an exclusive culinary experience with renowned Indigenous chefs.
Proceeds from Harmony will support the creation of a new permanent gallery exhibition at S'edav Va'aki Museum, aiming to respectfully interpret the ancestral site, celebrate Ancestral O’Odham accomplishments, and connect visitors to their descendants.
This initiative seeks to strengthen the museum’s role as a cultural anchor, deepening public understanding of Indigenous histories and futures.

It provides an upscale take on traditional Native American cuisine, featuring locally sourced ingredients and traditional meats such as bison, elk, and duck.
Signature dishes include frybread tacos topped with ground bison and tepary bean chili.
Another notable establishment is The Stand, a modest food tent located on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community near Scottsdale.
Known for its acclaimed frybread, The Stand has been a pillar of the local community for over 20 years and was recently recognized as one of the best restaurants in the country.
